English Program

Undergraduate Studies

Lectures start in the first week of the semester, and tutorials in the second. Information regarding tutorials and tutorial times is given out at the first lecture. Attendance at this first lecture is essential.

Written work in all English first-year units consists of a preliminary exercise, and two other exercises: all three must be completed.

To proceed to second-year English you must pass at least 2 English units. Students at the Bundoora campus may enrol in 3 first year English units.

You need to buy all the prescribed texts for units in which you enrol. They are available in the University Bookshop, in the Agora; many may also be bought second-hand. Buy them as soon as possible after you have enrolled, and try to read them before the unit begins.

For unit descriptions, booklists etc. search the Unit Database by typing in the unit code. These descriptions should help you to choose a unit that suits your interests.
