Three dimensional high throughput phenotyping system

This is a compact low cost system designed to develop a comprehensive, multi‐dimensional phenotypical model. It integrates several imaging techniques for dissection of plant parameters, namely, morphology and growth dynamic. It allows for specific hypothesis related to genotypic and/or environmental effects to be tested.
The hardware consists of a 1 x 3.5 m size rack. The height tray is automated adjustable (0.1 m -2.3 m). The ceiling within the system houses arrays of LEDs at different wavelengths.

Ten RGB cameras are located in the ceiling and five on each side of the rack. This stereo imaging system is used for 3D reconstruction and 2D image processing.
