We are committed to encouraging the next generation of engineers and scientists, by offering school students the chance to experience electronics at La Trobe.
Get involved with engineering at La Trobe through:
- LEAP into Engineering: Learn Experience Access Professions (LEAP), seeks to encourage secondary students to consider higher education as a future option by focusing on professions.
- Robotics, Automation and Mechatronics Program (RAMP): is a pilot program between La Trobe University and Quantum Victoria to help strengthen robotics and mechatronics knowledge in secondary schools.
- Work experience: school students can work with us to learn about robotics, 3D printing, hardware/software systems and more.
Give your students an edge by performing experiments in our world class teaching laboratories. We offer workshops specifically designed to support prescribed areas of study in units 3 & 4 Physics.
We also run electronic engineering courses for years 8 to 12, with interesting and exciting challenges to encourage a deeper understanding of electronics.

While we encourage schools to undertake workshops at our campuses, we also understand that this may not be possible for all schools, especially those required to travel long distances. We therefore travel to regional hubs to make our workshops more accessible.
