About the Department
An Electronic Engineering student project.
La Trobe University has a long tradition in the field of engineering and has for almost 40 years produced graduates of the highest calibre. At La Trobe we understand the complex nature of teaching and learning and strongly emphasise engineering through practical applications. Students at undergraduate and postgraduate level are exposed to project work at every year level to maximise learning outcomes.
Our state-of-the-art laboratories and industry standard software and hardware ensure that our graduating students are well prepared for the workforce with expertise covering a range of engineering disciplines including engineering management, communications, robotics & mechatronics, power systems, signal & image processing, biomedical and sustainability.
The department operates closely with industry and continues to attract project/research collaboration from Australian and Internationally recognized universities, companies and research facilities. All of our courses are accredited by the Institute of Engineers Australia ensuring students receive globally recognized degrees with the highest standard of education.
