The research interests of Professor Cahill lie in the area of Optical & Photonics . Particular interests are Semiconductor laser dynamics, high speed circuits for optical sources and receivers. Mid infrared detectors. Photonic switching. Fibre sensors. Computer aided design. Image processing and signal processing.
