Internship and work experience proposals

Thus far the MBE machine is controlled through an OS2 system which will be replaced by a standard Windows based PC. The new software should be written in LabView or C++ allowing for easy extensions and easy control of the Eurotherm controllers connected to the computer.

Several processes during the MBE growth need to be monitored constantly (e.g. Pressure levels, Temperatures of the effusion cells or the bake-out temperature). In this project several of these values will be interfaced to a computer and a highly versatile software will have to be developed to allow the monitoring of multiple values of choice. Furthermore, the software should be able to allow the monitoring of these values over the internet.
