BACKGROUND

    Andrea graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor Degree in Education with Honours (Educational Psychology). She has been a secondary school teacher in government, independent, Zionist and alternative schools, in Tasmanian and Victoria. Andrea has been a coordinator of middle school and convenor of curriculum.

    More recently she was involved in an educational programme working with some of the most economically disadvantaged secondary school children in Victoria. Presently she is a lecturer in the Graduate Diploma of Education programmes, lecturing in both primary and secondary education. She is working towards completing her PhD in 2006.

    She teachers Secondary English Method, Issues in Education (primary), Holistic Education and Students at Risk.

    The role of consciousness in teaching and learning, Ecosophical education, Shibusa education, Holistic education, Educational psychology, Enactivist and Participatory research methodologies.
