Master of Education: Applied Learning

The Faculty of Education at La Trobe University is offering an exciting NEW Master of Education (Applied Learning) program commencing in July 2008. The course provides an opportunity for those involved in education to develop expertise and leadership capacities using applied learning principles.

Highlights of the course:
  • Optional 3-week overseas study tour to UK, Europe and Canada.
  • Flexible study modes.
  • Opportunity to combine applied learning studies with other areas of interest, e.g. Leadership and Management, Special Education, Information and Communication Technology.
  • Opportunity to explore and develop best practice skills in applied learning.

Entry Criteria
    • If you have a recognised teaching qualification or graduate diploma in a related area (e.g. Vocational Education and Training), then you are eligible for entry to the one-year full-time or part-time equivalent program consisting of 120 credit points of study.
    • If you have a bachelor degree, then you are eligible for a 2-year packaged program consisting of a one-year Graduate Diploma in a relevant area and the Master of Education (Applied Learning) or direct entry to the 2-year Master of Education (Applied Learning).
    • Candidates with approved alternative qualifications and experience will be considered for special entry to the program.

Tuition Fees

    Fee-paying places are available. Australian citizens are eligible to defer tuition fees by using the Commonwealth Government FEE-Help loan scheme. Further information on FEEHelp can be found at website: www.goingtouni.gov.au

Overseas Study Tour
    There is an additional cost for the optional Overseas Study Tour. However, to assist with costs, eligible students may apply for scholarship funding which is available through the International Programs Office of La Trobe University
