Graduate Diploma in Education: Middle Years
The Faculty of Education at La Trobe University is offering a NEW Graduate Diploma in Education (Middle Years) in 2008. The course qualifies students to teach in primary and secondary schools up to Year 10, focusing on the middle years (Years 5-10).

Flexible delivery modes
Course duration - One year full-time (completed in 8 months)
On Campus Study - 5 weeks over course duration
Specialisation in the middle years (qualifies to teach primary and secondary)
Combination of innovative online learning modules and face-to-face learning
Course enables an early finish at end of September
Practicum and field work undertaken at a metropolitan/regional area of your choice
Entry Criteria
A completed approved bachelor qualification in any discipline with major or sub-major studies in two areas of the secondary school curriculum. Most secondary teaching methods will be catered for within the course. Although the normal requirement is for two teaching methods, applicants who have qualified in their degree with only one secondary teaching method are still eligible to apply. Mathematics to at least Year 11 is recommended.

Both Commonwealth Supported place and fee-paying places are available. Eligible applicants will have the ability to defer payment of either the student contribution or tuition fee of this course.
