Brief profile

I trained as a primary teacher and have since taught in regional and rural schools, worked as an educational designer and lectured across early childhood, primary and secondary pre-service teacher education courses in educational sociology, research methods, and various curriculum areas. My doctoral research is on environmental and place based education in primary schools, and is situated across the fields of curriculum, practice and place. Previously, I have researched environmental education attitudes and knowledge of primary pre-service teachers. Outside my doctoral work I am interested in pre-service teacher education, rural-regional sustainability and university-school-community connections.
