Brief profile

After initail training as a Pre-school Mothercraft Nurse and ten years of working in various children's service locations from long day care centres, Kindergartens and subsequent management positions, I chose to upgrade my qualifications. During my studies I began a 15 year career teaching in the TAFE system supporting students through Certificate and Diploma courses in Children's Services. I began my Masters of Educational Leadership and began working here at Latrobe in 2012. My research interests are children's innate love of nature and the benefits it brings to their wellbeing and learning capacities and the Reggio Emilia approach. I was fortunate enough in 2010 to participate in an International Study at the Centro Internazionale in Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy which has greatly influenced my teaching.
