We aim to equip graduates with the confidence and skills to be effective in communication, problem solving and social and cultural understanding. Course of study:
Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)

My name is Stacey Pascoe. I am a student ambassador at La Trobe University. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary). At the end of my degree I plan on being a secondary school teacher.

I enjoy being a student ambassador because it gives me the opportunity to share my experiences and knowledge of the university with prospective students. I love meeting new people, and helping people and the university in any way I can - the ambassador program enables me to do this.

The best advice that I can give to future students is don’t just look at the course title! Check out the subjects, and if you can, try to talk to current students and lecturers about their experiences. Other students will be able to share their thoughts on the course, which will hopefully help with your decision.

La Trobe University is great because the community atmosphere tops all others! It has an environment that supports and encourages learning. Lecturers and tutors are always willing to guide and assist with questions and they are knowledgeable about their subjects. Most importantly the university values the students and wants them to succeed. That is what makes the La Trobe difference.
