Jan’s research centres around macroeconomics, with special focus on monetary and fiscal theory and policy, but his recent work has also covered the fields of game theory and sports economics.
Jan has been a Research Associate of the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis, ANU. Over the past six years Jan has given over seventy invited seminar/conference presentations, including those at the 2008 and 2012 American Economic Association meetings, the International Monetary Fund (Washington D.C.), the London School of Economics, and a number of leading central banks such as the European Central Bank.
