Brief profile

Andrew Skewes is Director of the University’s Bendigo Campus. Previously Director, Innovation and Technology Policy in Victoria’s Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, he led a team that provided policy advice, project management and coordination, as well as public affairs and communication services.

With more than ten years as a senior executive for both the Australian and Victorian governments – in areas ranging from micro-economic reform to ICT infrastructure, particularly broadband – he has also lectured in mathematics and statistics at Swinburne University and worked as a senior manager in public affairs and corporate marketing.

Mr Skewes is also on the Board of Directors for Coliban Water, a Non-Executive Director of the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation and the Principal of Canvass Consulting.

Mr Skewes holds a Bachelor of Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Master of Economics (Hons) from the University of Melbourne.
