Description of image

Study

La Trobe University prides itself on providing high quality education and training in Ecology and Resource Management, underpinned by its strong research profile and its commitment to hands-on learning. Ecological training for students at La Trobe is greatly assisted by practical classes in many subjects being carried out in 29 ha of bushland on campus (Melbourne Sanctuary, La Trobe University). This emphasis on field work extends to a wide range of field courses students can attend in places like Qld tropical rainforest, alpine or mallee regions, Kangaroo Island and Heron Island, to further develop their ecological knowledge and skill. Consequently graduates from our degrees are well recognised by private and public sector employers for their breadth of field experience, as well as their solid theoretical and analytical abilities.

La Trobe University offers five degrees in which students can purse their interests in Ecology and Resource Management:

  • Bachelor of Agricultural Science
  • Bachelor of Biological Science
  • Bachelor of Conservation Biology and Ecology
  • Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science specialisation)
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Ecology
