Measuring the Enterprise Architecture Progress
A CMM-Based Approach

In the light of ongoing change across the higher education sector, the University of Sydney has recognized a need to continue to adjust its approach to management. Key initiatives to come out of this approach include a more robust strategic planning framework, the introduction of a University Economic Model and emphasis on increased transparency and accountability.

How then, does this ‘performance’ environment translate to administration, in general, and information technology and service units, in particular? This presentation describes the approach taken by the Strategy and Architecture group at the University of Sydney to adopt a Capability Maturity Model to inform and improve performance.
