A Hard Day on the Wheat Fields
Harvesting Enterprise Architecture Artifacts From a Large ERP Project.

The recent completion of a large ERP implementation at The University of Auckland was achieved under circumstances that, from an Enterprise Architecture perspective, best be expressed as difficult.  Nevertheless, the implementation was achieved by what is widely considered to have been a successful project.  In the absence of a formal EA framework, and in the absence of traditional EA participation, this experience raised many questions about the nature, relevance, style, and engagement of EA practitioners in Higher Education.  During this presentation, these questions will be examined through a three-dimensional Zachman sieve, and architectural artifacts will be harvested from the implementation project's leavings.
