October 2010 Focus Issue
TEACHING THEATRE, PERFORMANCE AND DRAMA STUDIES

This special issue of ADS seeks to explore the range and diversity of our teaching and pedagogical practices.  We welcome articles on; Making theatre/performance in the context of non-vocational institutions; Creating a company ethos/ethic for student productions; Hybrid student/community productions; Theory/practice balance in practice/theory; Directing students/students directing; Modes of assessment in theatre, performance and drama studies; Student-driven as opposed to lecturer-driven projects; Marketing student productions to the public/community; Casting in student productions.

Expressions of interest and proposals for articles exploring these ideas are invited.  Final deadline for submission of articles: October 2009.

October 2011 Focus Issue
Transcultural. Transnational. Transformation: seeing and writing across cultures

Co-editors: Maryrose Casey and Will Peterson

This issue seeks to act as a forum to explore, bring together and/or set in opposition cross-cultural receptions, visions, borrowings, understandings, practices, theories and ethical ponderings. We welcome articles on any of the following topics: transcultural flows; cultural translations; inter-, intra- and cross-cultural performance practices and reception; and discussions, critiques or defences of ways of seeing, documenting or analysing across cultures.

Proposals and expressions of interest due by March 2010. Final deadline for submission of full articles October 31st 2010.
