Muslim Leadership Program
The Muslim Leadership Program is a unique five-week education program that aims to support leaders who can speak clearly and confidently about the various issues which confront people of Islamic faith and who can actively participate in shaping the future of Australia and the region.
About to enter its sixth year, this important international program, which now has over 100 alumni, has grown to include participants from Melbourne, Sydney and South East Asia.
The 2012 program will run from 19 October to 23 November. Participants will participate in workshops and seminars presented by both the Centre for Dialogue and the Islamic Council of Victoria. The course includes study tours to Canberra and Sydney, and within Melbourne, all of which provide participants with opportunities to network with thought leaders in government, business, academia and multi-faith organisations.
Applications for the 2012 Program close on 31 August. The brochure [PDF 480KB] and application form [PDF 134KB] are available for download.
Following graduation, these young leaders will become part of The M Network <hyperlink> which links intellectuals of Islamic faith across Asia and Australia.
The Muslim Leadership Program is coordinated by the Centre’s Dr Sven Schottmann, working closely with the Islamic Council of Victoria <hyperlink>.
This program is supported by the Commonwealth of Australia through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; the State of Victoria through the Department of Premier and Cabinet; and Rydges Hotel, Bell City.
