Policy Development
The scope of the Centre's research is continuously evolving and responding to various opportunities to broaden and deepen our intellectual capital. However, at present, the Centre has six (?) keynote umbrella projects. Within each umbrella exists numerous events, publications, collaborative projects and research endeavours.

Australia-Turkey Dialogue
Explores regional issues of common interest and concern to Australia and Turkey such as their common dilemmas over geography and history.
Australia-Malaysia Dialogue
Bringing together both countries to discuss the main theme of ‘Malaysia and Australia addressing regional and global challenges’ with a subsequent sub-theme being ‘The challenge of managing plural societies’.
Australia-Indonesia Dialogue
Jointly organised by the Centre for Dialogue, The Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) and Centre for the Study of Islam and Society (PPIM) Universitas Islam Negri (UIN), Jakarta.

Australia-China High-Level Talks
A major project initiated by La Trobe University (the Centre for Dialogue and the Centre for China Studies) in partnership with Peking University, the Australia China Business Council and the State Government of Victoria.
