Cristina Montiel has been a professor of peace/political psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University for more than 30 years. In August 2010, Cristina received the prestigious Ralph White Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Psychological Association’s Division of Peace Psychology.

In this seminar Professor Montiel used positioning theory and conversation analysis to analyse the mid-2010 peace talks between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
