Everything you ever wanted to know about mayflies (Ephemeroptera)

Nymphs: Keys to the Baetidae including the still water genera Centroptilum and Cloeon.

Adults: Key to the genera of Australian mayflies

and

Keys to the hydraenids (Coleoptera Hydraenidae)..

As part of the workshop there will be a 2 hour session for participants to trial the keys and provide feedback on the ease of use, identification of difficult characters etc. This workshop will be with the presenters so that the keys can be modified/improved as part of the workshop.

Bring your own specimens to identify in the workshop.

Venue

The workshop will be held in room 6101, Main Lecture Theatre , La Trobe University, Albury-Wodonga Campus, University Drive , Wodonga VIC Australia 3690.

Several hotels are within a short distance from the University. Comfort Inn Blazing Stump (10 minutes), Belvoir Village Motel (3 minutes), Best Western Stagecoach Motel (3 minutes), Border Gateway Motel (2 minutes) driving time of the venue. Qantas and Regional Express flies into Albury from Sydney and Melbourne daily.

Workshop costs

Course fee: $150 ($100 for full-time students) includes workshop, lunches, morning tea and afternoon tea.

Workshop dinner: Tuesday 9th February 2010 $50
