Background & interests: Alistair Watson is a freelance economist based in Melbourne. Previously, he worked for the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the University of Melbourne. He is a distinguished fellow of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society. Dr Watson's principal research interests are Australian agricultural policy, Chinese political economy and the economics of water and irrigation.


Dr Terry Hillman

Background & interests: Terry Hillman was educated at Dookie College and ANU. He has carried out research as an ecologist at CSIRO, ANU, Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation, Murray Darling Freshwater Research Centre, and CRC for Freshwater Ecology. He was a member of the Board of North East Catchment Management Authority for 10 years and currently provides technical advice to Murray Darling Basin Authority, Federal and State government departments responsible for natural resource management, CMAs, and industry groups
