AV, Video Conference & Echo Systems Orientation

This session is offered to general and academic staff using AV and Video Conferencing equipment in teaching and non-teaching venues, as well as gain knowledge of the tools and processes associated with the University's lecture recording system Echo360 - including pausing recordings in the venue, editing a recording and making the echo block available to students.

This small-group interactive training session will focus on basic use of AV equipment and Video Conferencing. Participants will gain some brief, hands-on experience.

Participants who actively engage with and complete this session can expect to:

  • Gain hands-on practice in the operation of AV systems.
  • Identify common problems and troubleshoot.
  • Familiarise themselves with the following:
    • Start-up/Shut-down procedures.
    • Components of AV equipment.
    • The touch screen interface.
    • Source selection.
    • Microphone/Volume adjustments.
    • Doc-cam operation and adjustment.
    • Basic laptop connection procedures.
