IPWEA National Conference on Climate Change Response

Responding to Sea Level Rise: Engineering Practical Climate Change Solutions

ocean image3rd 4th and 5th August 2008
Coffs Harbour NSW Australia

One of the key issues for coastal and tidal councils is the impact of sea level rise over the long term, and more immediately the impact of the combination of storm surges and high tides on a council's coastal infrastructure.

This conference will provide the opportunity to bring together people who are facing the same climate change challenge.

The aim is to share ideas and to learn how other council staff and consultants are innovating and developing adaptation responses to sea level rise.

  • share your experience
  • learn from others, and
  • identify ways of measuring and evaluating progress

The Call for Abstracts is focused on coastal & tidal council engineering staff and consultants who have been involved in the development of coastal and estuarine management response to sea level rise.

If you have a strategy, solution or case study that you would be prepared to share with others, please contact us as soon as possible.
