The objective of this research is to provide an assessment of the Robinvale community in its role as a culturally diverse service and labour support centre for corporate agriculture, both at the primary production and value-adding levels.
The purpose of the overall project is an ethnographic study to increase our understanding of the complexities of a number of interrelated and enduring social problems that have intensified in the rapid development of the local economy and the subsequent contradictions of prosperity and social disadvantage.
This research will support decision-makers in government, business and the community to identify infrastructure and service needs in building a more prosperous and resilient rural agricultural centre.
