Abstract:   On an international level, air traffic control is the subject of much regrouping and re-focussing on an efficient evironmentally friendly future. The concepts proposed by both SESAR (Europe) and Next Gen (USA) require a paradigm shift from an often uncoordinated system that relies on centralized, ground-based tactical separation assurance to an integrated and coordinated one centered on strategic, collaborative trajectory management. On a local scale however, what is happening in Australia? This presentation gives a perspective on ATC in Australia and how we are developing the future.
