Research Title/Topic: Fuzzy Linguistic Logic Programming
Supervisor: Dr. Hongen Lu & Dr. Fei Liu
Description:
As human beings, we use natural languages, which are inherently imprecise, vague and qualitative in nature to describe the real world, to reason, and to make decisions. Therefore, in order to model human reasoning process, there is a natural demand for investigating reasoning methods that can directly work on natural languages. In fuzzy linguistic logic programming, which is based on the framework of fuzzy logic programming, the truth domain is the set of linguistic truth values characterised by a hedge algebra of the truth variable, and linguistic hedges are used as unary operations on formulae. We provide a computational model, used to calculate truth values of queries, that directly manipulates linguistic terms.
