Research Title/Topic: Investigation of Applying Parallel Computing to Computational Issues Related to Industry
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Ben Soh and Dr. Naveen Chilamkurti
Description:
Scientific Mature computational issues usually require a huge computing to construct or create some mathematical structures. Moreover, in industry, several computational issues also require a great computing to generate substantial results for manufacturing, testing or evaluating... However, some computational issues in scientific or in industry can’t be completed by usual methods and in some special cases, they even take several years to compute such a complete results. We need the combination of scientific and industry to find out solutions to generate new complicated results. With the strong and effective capabilities of parallel computing, we can study to create some parallel algorithms or parallel models for constructing or calculating special mathematical structures and computational issues related to industry. This research aims to study and propose parallel algorithms and parallel model for constructing special mathematic structures and computational issues related to industry. It will access special mathematical structures or computational issues need to be constructed, study and propose parallel algorithms or parallel model for constructing those structures and finally, generate new necessary results that can be applied in industry. The research is likely to propose new parallel algorithms or parallel models for constructing complex computational issues, generate new substantial results and recommend further investigation of scientific computing.
