| Distributed Ontology-based BioInformatics Information Retrieval Systems |
| The increased number of literature, medical research, and experimental results in the area of bioinformatics and biomedical sciences has stimulated the need to have an integrated and more effective information content retrieval technique. This project ultimately combines Dr Rahayu’s earlier research, funded through earlier VPAC and ARC Linkage grant schemes, in the area of distributed ontology and medical information retrieval into one integrated system. In this project, Dr Rahayu and her team will extend their document corpus and domain ontology with bioinformatics data and Gene ontology, respectively.
