Victorian Forensic Science Centre: Imprint Classification and Matching
The Victorian Forensic Centre is responsible for the co-ordination of Quality Management and Research and Development programs, policies and standards, Educational and Information Services and the provision of Technical Maintenance Services throughout the centre.

It provides services in relation to personnel management; budgets, finance and records management; office group support activities; supply; security and the receipt and tracking of items examined at the Centre. The Centre is responsible for the provision of high quality chemistry based scientific/technical service to the various user groups.

The division is divided into two branches, the Drugs Branch and the Applied Science Branch and provides high quality biological scientific/technical services to clients and comprises three branches, the Botany Branch, the Biological Examination Branch and the DNA Analysis Branch.

The centre also provides high quality scientific/technical services to clients and comprises the principle crime scene attending areas of the laboratory. It comprises two branches, the Fingerprint Branch and the Crime Scene Branch. o find more about Victorian Forensic Science Centre's activities.
