Microbiology

Why study Microbiology?

Our Honours course allows students to take their knowledge and skills in microbiology to an advanced level with a one year supervised research project along with a relatively minor component of course work. Honours students work as part of active research groups, focusing on areas of their own specialisation.

La Trobe University is the only institution to have received the highest ranking of 'above world-standard' in the 2012 Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) results. Become part of Australia's highest performing microbiology research institution in Australia

See the Research tab for information about Master's by research, or PhD.
