Genetics
Why research Genetics?
Postgraduate study in genetics at La Trobe is supported by dedicated academic staff who head innovative research groups across a diverse range of areas, and world-class facilities that ensure students graduate with a high-quality education. In particular, students have access to the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science (LIMS) – a $94.1 million building with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.
Students have the opportunity to choose their own area of research from one of the University's many active labs. Areas of focus cover a vast range of topics including agricultural science, medicinal chemistry and environmental management.
