This course offers a comprehensive blend of game theory, design and development. Focus on using and creating the technologies behind the video game industry. Develop programming skills, a sound theoretical basis in game design, and specialist knowledge and skills in graphics, artificial intelligence, software development, multimedia programming and operating systems. Become highly skilled in existing video game technologies and develop advanced knowledge and abilities in new game technologies.

Graduates are prepared for work within the game development industry in programming, design, technical game testing and debugging, technical art, effects programming, CGI development, artificial Intelligence, interface development, task automation, rendering, audio engineering, game networking and dedicated cluster computing. The knowledge and skills gained in computer science, mathematics and physics creates opportunities in software engineering, development programming, cluster computing, high performance computing, database engineering, research computing and computer networking.

Fees are indicative only and set at 120 credit points per course, unless otherwise stated, and may vary depending on the number of credit points in which students enrol. Some courses may vary in credit point load and fees will be adjusted accordingly.
There is also a range of scholarships available for international students to assist students.

Through our Games Technology Project, students gain industry experience by planning and developing a real game development project.
