You'll be prepared for work in schools in Australia and overseas. There are also opportunities to progress into expert and leading teacher roles, and to work in areas such as children's services.

Course structure

In first year, you'll do foundation education subjects in:

  • language and literacy
  • mathematics
  • technology
  • learning theory
  • teaching practice.

During the remaining three years, you'll do subjects in line with your specialist stream, chosen from:

  • primary
  • primary/special education
  • primary/middle (P-9)
  • primary/secondary.

Each stream requires you to complete 80 days of classroom experience.

Please note: Students must transfer to Bendigo to complete the primary/special education strand.
