Ageing and aged care
Why do research in Ageing and aged care?
Highly trained researchers who can respond to the diverse and growing challenges of an ageing population are in urgent need in Australia and overseas. We conduct research programs through specialist units of the Australian Institute for Primary Care and Ageing. These are the Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care, the John Richards Initiative and the Lincoln Centre for Research on Ageing. We provide supervision in residential aged care, person-centred care, community-based aged care services, dementia services, carers, retirement and other life transitions, and aged care in rural communities.
Career opportunities
Graduates are prepared for work in academia, government, non-government institutions and the private sector.
