Adult education

Why study Adult education?

We offer courses for education graduates to advance their knowledge and skills and for graduates of other disciplines. Our courses range from generalist studies and pathways to Master-level to a professional teaching qualification for those currently working in adult education in industry, TAFE, health, community and human services. If you have no background in education, you may do Master-level training in adult education, nurse education, counselling and human services, inter-cultural communication and diversity, pedagogy and curriculum.

Career opportunities

Career opportunities depend on the course you select. They include adult educator, nurse educator, TAFE teacher or training consultant. Master-level programs provide a higher degree qualification if your study, research, professional interests and qualifications are in the education and training of adults. We provide a career pathway for industry trainers, VET and TAFE teachers, adult literacy and language teachers, consultants and those working in the community or health and human service industries.
