Course description
This course provides an opportunity for people working in the health services to develop advanced health management skills through postgraduate study. It provides a comprehensive study package to ensure current and potential health care managers - in both clinical and business management roles - have the full range of competencies required of health system managers.
It develops specific competencies in managing people and resources and an understanding of the organisational, legal and ethical frameworks. The course may articulate into the Master of Health, the Master of Health Sciences and associated double degrees.
Course structure
Subjects may be taken in any order but it is advised that the elective be left until the second half of the program. The course is structurally integrated into the Master of Health Administration (MHA), enabling students who perform at a high academic level to proceed with further studies to obtain internationally recognised health management qualifications. Tuition fee (AUD)
Indicative (2010): $14,040 (per 120 credit points)
The University reserves the right to vary fees on an annual basis. Fees will not normally rise above 7% per annum. Should the University decide to increase its fees, that increase will take effect on 1 January of the following year.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least two years' professional experience working in the health system. Special entry may also be available.
