Course description
The specialisations of space physics, surface and materials science are covered in this course. Students are provided with experience and competence in areas of physics where experimental work is vastly different, being either laboratory-based or environment or field-based. Students select a project in either space physics, or surface and materials science. Graduates have enhanced employment and research opportunities.
Work has commenced on the $230-million Centre for AgriBiosciences and the $90-million La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science. Once completed, these Centres will expand laboratory facilities as well as teaching and research opportunities for La Trobe's science students.

Indicative (2010): $18,330 (per 120 credit points)

Applicants should have obtained a minimum average of 65% in the third year of a three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a major in physics.
