Course description

This course provides students with the in-depth knowledge and skills required to practise at an advanced level and provide professional leadership in contemporary clinical and professional nursing specialities. It is designed to build on the knowledge base and clinical judgement skills of specialist nurses.

In Victoria, the role of Nurse Practitioner places particular emphasis on the development of appropriate formulary and clinical practice guidelines. This approach has been emphasised in this Master's program. It offers students a strong evidence base supported by appropriate professional and clinical facilitation.

The course integrates research, ethical and reflective skills necessary to provide clinical and professional leadership and an informed position on health care issues. NOTE: This course is currently under review and will only be conducted if sufficient enrolments are achieved.
