Course description

This course is designed to expand and deepen the knowledge and confidence of practising managers and those aspiring to management positions. The content, focus and delivery will be relevant to participants from the broad range of industry sectors and types that are represented throughout regional Australia.

The course further broadens and deepens the student's knowledge of management theory and practice across a variety of fields. It builds tools, understanding and insight to support the development of leadership and management capabilities across a diverse range of business sectors and organisational types.

Course structure

Students will be required to complete eight subjects, usually completed over two years.

Contact hours

Each subject is delivered in block mode over several weekends. Each subject is delivered in three modules. (39 contact hours per subject). Subject are generally delivered in alternate years.

Tuition fee (AUD)

Indicative (2010): $9920 (per 120 credit points)
The University reserves the right to vary fees on an annual basis. Fees will not normally rise above 7% per annum. Should the University decide to increase its fees, that increase will take effect on 1 January of the following year.

Prerequisites

An Australian Bachelor degree in any discipline or an approved equivalent qualification. Applicants with considerable demonstrated experience at a senior administrative level may also be considered.

Career opportunities

Graduates from this course commonly undertake a range of senior and middle management roles, including positions in marketing and human resource management.
