Course description

This course equips students with the broad range of knowledge and skills required to participate in this expanding global industry. Students gain in-depth theoretical knowledge in the field, and develop practical management experience that strengthens their understanding of the industry and allows them to form career-oriented networks.

Course structure

All subjects are worth 15 credit points. First year: eight compulsory subjects.
Second year: seven compulsory subjects and one elective. Third year: five compulsory subjects and three electives.

Sports governance, sport facility and event management, sport and the media, elite athlete management, marketing and sponsorship, human resource management, finance and economics.

VCE Units 3 and 4: Study score of at least 20 in English (any).

Career opportunities

Graduates can work in a variety of fields, including sports administration, sponsorship and marketing, government organisations, apparel and merchandising companies, and management of the facilities of the major sporting codes and health and fitness centres, elite athletes and teams, and major sporting events and venues.
