Course description
This course is designed to equip students with an appreciation of issues in social, economic and political development from a multidisciplinary perspective. It enables students to acquire an understanding of the ways in which national governments and non-governmental organisations have instituted programs of social and economic change for peoples in developing areas such as Africa, Latin America and Asia.
Students must complete three compulsory core units: Development, Globalisation and Culture, The World since 1945, and Development in Practice. In addition, students choose electives totalling 60 credit points.
