Course description
This course is a comprehensive study package for professionals in health service settings who want to expand their career pathway into senior management roles in the public or private sectors. It also provides an entry into the health sector for managers working in non-health care settings.
Course structure
Students enrol in two semesters of study for the Master of Health Administration (MHA) and four terms of study for the Master of Business Administration (MBA). Students complete nine subjects from the MHA program and twelve subjects from the MBA program. The structure ensures essential areas are covered while allowing flexibility for students to pursue personal and professional interests.

Tuition fee (AUD)

The University reserves the right to vary fees on an annual basis. Fees will not normally rise above 7% per annum. Should the University decide to increase its fees, that increase will take effect on 1 January of the following year.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic) - minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0; or
TOEFL Computer-Based Test - A minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing; or
TOEFL Paper-based Test - A minimum score of 575 with a score of 5 or more in the test of Written English; or
TOEFL Internet-based Test - A minimum score of 88 with no individual score less than 22; or
Completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at PG (postgraduate) level available from the La Trobe University Language Centre; or
Approved equivalent.
Academic entry requirements
Applicants must have a three-year undergraduate Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of two years professional experience in the health system or approved international equivalent. Applicants are also required to submit a one-page statement of reasons for study and be supported by two referees.
