Course description
The practice of law is increasingly a global business. The era of globalisation increasingly requires people with a business or any background to have an understanding of commercial law issues. The Global Business Law program at La Trobe Law presents as an opportunity for non-lawyers to be equipped with an understanding of domestic and international commercial law, in preparation for a career in an international business and legal environment. Students may study in subject areas of global interest, including international business and arbitration law, and US business and corporations law. A Minor Research Paper of 10,000 words may be substituted for two of the eight required units. All subjects will be taught in block release mode between first and second semesters and in summer school by international scholars.
