General information
The University is required to monitor the period of time that reproduced copyright material remains online. Reproduced material can remain online indefinitely although a new copy is deemed to have been communicated at the end of each 12 month period that the material remains online.
In order to comply with this obligation an Online Copyright Database and an Online Copyright Advice Form have been developed.
The Online Copyright Database records all reproduced copyright material made available on the web. This form should only be completed when copyright material is reproduced and made available online in reliance on the Part VA and Part VB licence under the Copyright Act 1968. It should not be completed when permission has been granted by the copyright owner to reproduce and communicate the material or if copyright is held by the University.
Evidence of permission granted by the copyright holder should be forwarded to the Copyright Officer.
