Online database
Guidelines
The University is required to monitor the period of time that reproduced copyright material remains on the internet/intranet and ensure that no two parts of the same work (print and graphic only) are available online at the same time. An Online Database has been developed to comply with this obligation.
Access to the database is restricted to LTU staff. You will be promted to enter your LTU username and password before you can add a record or search the database.
Guidelines for making copyright material available online
- Access must be restricted to students and staff
- Electronic notices for Print and Graphic (PDF 68 Kb) or Audio-Visual (PDF 11Kb) material must appear before or at the same time as the electronically copied material appears on the screen, including powerpoint presentations and CD-ROM.
- Evidence of permission to reproduce and communicate copyright material should be forwarded to the Copyright Officer if copying without reliance on the licence.
- Search Copyright Database for an existing electronic file and create a link. If no electronic file already exists, a record is required to be created in the Online Copyright Database.
- Add a record to the database, ensuring the copied material is within the copying limits imposed by the Copyright Act 1968.
