Cultural seminar series
In an increasingly globalised economy, cultural awareness has become a cornerstone for the development of productive relationships, whether social, economic or political in nature. Whether within a national context where international migration has seen the growth of complex, multicultural societies, or within the context of international cooperation, cross-cultural understanding is a driving force for social and economic development.
The Confucius Institute at La Trobe University aims to assist greater understanding of the Chinese culture in particular through a Chinese Cultural Seminar Series. The Institute invites distinguished scholars from La Trobe University and beyond to give cultural seminars on a regular basis on certain aspects of Chinese culture and to illustrate its relevance to the modern world. The seminar series is open to La Trobe staff, students, and the general public.
