How do I apply for the Industry IT Cadetship?

  • Apply for the IT Branded Cadetship 2014 by downloading the application form [DOC 1MB] and save as "[your-name]-IIBIT-Cadetship-Application.doc".
    • Submission instructions are included in the form.
    • Applications open 1 July 2013.
    • Applications close 30 September 2013.
  • You must also apply via VTAC or UAC for entrance into the Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Information Technology (Professional) in September. Please refer to VTAC or UAC for closing dates.
  • Provided you meet the selection criteria, you will be invited to attend an interview with the industry partners during October.
  • The industry partner will advise you of the outcome in October or November.
  • The industry partner and the University will confirm your cadetship in December.

Selection Process

  • The University will acknowledge receipt of your application and forward copies to each of your preferred industry partners for consideration.
  • The industry partner will contact you to invite you to interview at their workplace in early September. Your academic results are important, however, the industry partner will also consider your suitability to its organisational goals and objectives. We recommended you familiarise yourself with each industry partner's stated vision, mission and values.
  • The industry partner will notify you of a provisional cadetship offer in early November.
  • The industry partner will confirm their cadetship offer to Year 12 applicants following provision of year 12 results (December). Confirmed offers may be made earlier to non-Year 12 applicants.
