Jenny is also a consultant in the design and implementation of health communication programs and curriculum materials, especially in the areas of sexual and reproductive health. Some of those projects include: revision of Catching On - a teaching and learning resource for years 9 and 10 students; the national resource KISSS - the Keep It Simple Safe Sex guide; and www.thehormonefactory.com, a sex education website for primary-school children which won the 2003 Australian Teachers of Multimedia Award. Her special interest is in developing innovative ways to reach people who are 'hard-to-reach', for example writing comic books with homeless youth, and posters for school staff to promote anti-homophobia strategies, and health and support information written with transgendered young people. She also provides training for professionals in the areas of sexual health education (Catching On), improving access to health and education for marginalised groups of people, and sexual and gender diversity (Safety In Our Schools - a whole school approach to reduce homophobia).
